OpenSER ist eine anpassungsfähige, auf dem SIP-Protokoll basierende Serveranwendung (RFC3261), die bei der VoIP-Telefonie die Rolle einer Vermittlungsstelle einnimmt. OpenSER ist freie Software und steht unter der GNU General Public License. Ziel des Projektes ist es, einen robusten und skalierbaren SIP-Server zu entwickeln. OpenSER läuft im Voice-over-IP-Umfeld als SIP-Proxy, Registrar, aber auch als Location- und Application-Server oder als Gateway zu SMS und Jabber-Diensten.

Asterisk VoIP-Server

Asterisk ist eine freie Software, die alle Funktionalitäten einer herkömmlichen Telefonanlage abdeckt. Asterisk unterstützt Voice-over-IP (VoIP) mit unterschiedlichen Protokollen und kann mittels relativ günstiger Hardware mit Anschlüssen wie POTS (analoger Telefonanschluss), ISDN-Basisanschluss (BRI) oder -Primärmultiplexanschluss (PRI, E1 oder T1) verbunden werden. Mark Spencer hat Asterisk ursprünglich geschrieben, wichtige Erweiterungen und Applikationen stammen aber auch von anderen Entwicklern.

Die Software ist lauffähig unter den Betriebssystemen GNU/Linux, *BSD und Mac OS X (ab OS X 10.2). Es gibt auch Portierungen für Microsoft Windows. Linux ist als Betriebssystem zu empfehlen, da hierfür die meiste Hardware unterstützt wird und es am meisten Zusatzsoftware gibt.

ZoneCD ist eine komplette Hotspot-Lösung auf einer einzigen CD, basiernd auf einem Linux-System, kann kostenlos gedownloadet werden und als ISO-Datei auf einen CD-Rohling gebrannt werden.

Bitte beachten Sie: ZoneCD ist eine vollständig von CD-ROM bootbare LiveCD. Es kann nichts gespeichert werden. Das RAM des Computers wird zum zwischenspeichern der Konfiguration und der Services genutzt und wird gelöscht wenn Sie den Computer ausschalten !

ZoneCD nutzt ein NoCat Gateway im Passive Mode. Die hierzu nötig Konfigurationsdatei nocat.conf können Sie sich online beim Hersteller downloaden. Die letzte Zeile der Konfigurationsdatei wird beim System Boot neu geschrieben, kurz nachdem Sie die ZoneID eingegeben haben. Die ZoneID wird benötigt um das Gateway gegen den Authserver zu identifizieren.

tinc is a Virtual Private Network (VPN) daemon that uses tunnelling and encryption to create a secure private network between hosts on the Internet. tinc is Free Software and licensed under the GNU General Public License.

Because the VPN appears to the IP level network code as a normal network device, there is no need to adapt any existing software. This allows VPN sites to share information with each other over the Internet without exposing any information to others. In addition, tinc has the following features:

Encryption, authentication and compression All traffic is optionally compressed using zlib or LZO, and OpenSSL is used to encrypt the traffic and protect it from alteration with message authentication codes and sequence numbers. Automatic full mesh routing. Regardless of how you set up the tinc daemons to connect to each other, VPN traffic is always (if possible) sent directly to the destination, without going through intermediate hops. Easily expand your VPN. When you want to add nodes to your VPN, all you have to do is add an extra configuration file, there is no need to start new daemons or create and configure new devices or network interfaces.

Ability to bridge ethernet segments You can link multiple ethernet segments together to work like a single segment, allowing you to run applications and games that normally only work on a LAN over the Internet. Runs on many operating systems and supports IPv6.

Currently Linux, FreeBSD, OpenBSD, NetBSD, MacOS/X, Solaris, Windows 2000 and XP platforms are supported.
